Builds in Mistfall Hunter combine a weapon branch, active skills, talents and gear affixes. Strong builds focus on one weapon setup instead of splitting into all-rounders. Here is the best build for each class, cross-checked across guides from Skycoach, Mobalytics and the community wiki.
Build principles that apply to every class
Focus one weapon setup. Splitting between both branches makes a build mediocre.
Elusive is the best solo affix. Better dodging directly improves survivability.
Valor is the reliable damage affix for nearly every class.
Utility skills usually beat pure damage skills — they drain the opponent's resources and make them easier to kill.
Everything costs Gyldenblod. Farm efficiently and upgrade the Gyldenblod Pool early.
Mercenary — Sword & Shield (Gladiator)
The best Mercenary build avoids the Hammer entirely and focuses on gladiator-style fighting: blocking, perfect blocks, Shield Dash and counterattacks. It is not a button-mashing build, but it is more forgiving than most.
Playstyle: bait attacks, perfect-block, then punish; the build is strong in solo duels but less impactful in trios.
Sorcerer — Stardust (burst mage)
The Stardust Sorcerer trades slow ranged pressure for powerful burst. Meteor Charm is the main damage skill because you can chain it with instant casts; Stardust Tempest adds damage and slows; Rock Blast baits dodges.
The best Blackarrow build uses Hunter's Arrow: a fast, DoT-heavy playstyle built around spacing and chasing. It is almost a melee-range bow build and is seriously strong, especially for newcomers.
Affixes: Vitality, Elusive, Valor, then Curse (strengthens Barbed/Bloodfly DoTs).
Counters: a good Seer or Withered Knight; keep moving and stay just out of melee reach.
Shadowstrix — Dual Blades (Pressure)
The Shadowstrix is fast and deals huge damage; several guides call the Dual Blades build one of the strongest in the game. You engage from stealth, use Crow Storm for control, and deal damage with Spinning Slash — a positioning and damage skill that synergizes with many talents.
The Revenant Seer is a ranged support that is still strong in 1v1 — "a Swiss Army knife". Healing Art restores health and removes debuffs (including anti-heal, Barbed/Bloodfly/Paralysis arrows and Sorcerer burns); Wind Surge is the escape and even a kill tool.
Talents: Healing Art cleanse/healing upgrades, Opportunist Strike, Wind Walker support talent for trios.
Affixes: Valor 5, Eloquence 5, Stoic 5, Elusive as high as possible (optional Ethereal/Creation/Seeker).
Withered Knight — Greatsword (Wither Burst)
The best Withered Knight build is the Greatsword Wither Burst build: apply Wither, extend it, and trigger execute damage through heavy attacks. (Polearm & Shield is currently weaker and expected to be buffed.)
Skills: Breakthrough Charge, Radiant Retribution, plus Parry (solo) or Thorn Guide (trios).
Talents: Greatsword Specialization, Crime, Bad Karma, Righteous Creed, Long Range, Whiplash, Dominance (Legacy optional).
Affixes: Burst, Valor, Tenacious, Aegis.
Core combo: Crime makes Greatsword executes not consume Wither; Bad Karma adds debuffs when Wither lands — lock them down and keep pushing.
