Mistfall Hunter Maps & Difficulty Guide

Mistfall Hunter currently has two maps — Hallowgrove and Brandrgarde — each available in Normal and higher corruption difficulties. Every mode has gear requirements, allowed combat bags and a revive limit. Here is what each map requires before you queue in.

How extraction works on every map

Each run follows the same rule: to leave the map you must find a rare monster called the Returner Woodling, defeat it, and pick up its Soul of Return. Then reach an extraction point before the timer runs out. If you die — or the timer expires — you lose everything you were carrying, including equipped gear. Plan your route around an exit from the moment you load in.

Difficulty is shown as star ratings, and each mode enforces equipment requirements (minimum equipment value / maximum quality) and allowed combat bags (Novice, Advanced, Pro, Elite). Queueing in under-geared is a fast way to lose a run.

Hallowgrove

Hallowgrove is the game's first and new-player-friendly map — the main story's early quests (like Voice of Prayer) happen here. Players also search for it as "hollow grove" or "hollowgrave"; it's the same place. Danger level: ★★☆☆☆ (Normal), ★★★★☆ (Chaos).

ModeDifficultyGear requirementAllowed bagsRevives
Hallowgrove Normal★★★★★Quality ≤ ExcellentNovice, Advanced, Pro1
Hallowgrove Chaos★★★★Value ≥ 1,000 · Quality ≤ LegendaryAdvanced, Pro, Elite1

Normal Hallowgrove still retains a measure of peace and extraction is comparatively easier — most creatures have not fully lost control. In Chaos, uncontrolled souls and the Gyldenmist have dragged the whole forest into a spreading nightmare, monsters are far more violent, and souls trapped inside are slowly losing their human form. Brandrgarde

Brandrgarde is the second map, a more demanding region with Normal and Cataclysm difficulties. Danger level: ★★☆☆☆ (Normal).

ModeDifficultyGear requirementAllowed bagsRevives
Brandrgarde Normal★★★★★Value ≥ 300 · Quality ≤ EpicNovice, Advanced, Pro, Elite1
Brandrgarde CataclysmHighest-risk mode; numbers pending verification

Normal Brandrgarde is considerably calmer than heavily corrupted regions — monster numbers and strength stay manageable and extraction is easier — but even a small mistake carries a heavy cost. Cataclysm is the endgame risk mode where the biggest loot lives.

Solo mode & roadmap

On August 5, 2026, Bellring Games published an official roadmap: solo mode for Brandrgarde (Normal and Cataclysm) is coming on a test basis, with the studio evaluating audience and performance before a full rollout. Later phases add new seasonal tasks, monsters, match events and weapons, with Season 2 already teased. We will update this page when solo queues go live.
