Yes. Mistfall Hunter supports crossplay between PC (Steam), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Parties hold up to three players, and you can team up with friends on any platform once you unlock the friend system. Here's the exact unlock path and how to add cross-platform friends.
The short answer
Crossplay is supported across PC, PS5 and Xbox. The feature is locked behind the game's introduction, so you need to complete a short sequence before you can invite friends from another platform — roughly the first 20–30 minutes.
How to unlock the friend system
Complete the tutorial. You fall to the tutorial boss and extract from the starting area, arriving at the Hub (Winds' Rest).
Complete one Hallowgrove run solo. Head to Hallowgrove, speak with Pip, and successfully extract. This is still part of the introduction — several features stay locked until this point.
Return to the Hub and talk to the newly available NPCs until you receive the objective to visit Hallowgrove again.
Open the box in the top-left corner of the screen and press the prompt at the bottom-right to access the Friends menu (friends list, block list and pending requests).
Adding cross-platform friends
Open the Friends menu (box in the top-left).
Enter the friend's Player ID or nickname in the search bar.
Send a friend request; once accepted, invite them directly to your party.
Your Player ID is what your friends on other platforms need to find you — it works the same way regardless of which platform each player is on.
Party size & platform notes
Party size: up to 3 players. You can disable "Fill Party" to run as a duo — but you can still run into full three-player squads in a match.
Console online requirement: on Xbox, online multiplayer requires Game Pass Core or Ultimate (per the Xbox store listing). PlayStation follows standard PS Plus online requirements for multiplayer games.
Cross-region play: players on different regions report mixed experiences — official support is for cross-platform play; cross-region behavior can vary, so test with your friend group.
Cross-progression: as of Aug 7, 2026 the developers have not officially promised full progress sync between platforms. Crossplay (matching) and cross-save (progress) are different systems — treat your main platform's progress as your primary account.
